Saltwater Resorts

From late May to July, the king salmon fishing is unsurpassed in Whale Channel on the rugged West Coast of northern British Columbia.

Saltwater fishing doesn't get any better than this as thousands of king and silver salmon stop to feed in our calm, uncrowded waters on their way north to the Kitimat River. The result? Line-zinging action on calm ocean waters just 15 minutes away from the luxurious floating lodge. As the plentiful runs migrate south in mid-July, the lodge is moved south into Milbanke Sound to intercept the major salmon runs there.

In the calm waters just off the fishing lodge you could be battling a 40 pound king salmon within minutes after arriving. Unlike other Canadian fishing lodges, we believe in making your experience immediate. No traveling great distances to find the fish. No big ocean swells and storms to endure. The uncrowded, calm waters are protected by sheltering islands, so you'll enjoy all the unspoiled beauty of the BC coast without the bounce.

Here your time is your own. Stay close to home or travel farther out. Fish as much and as long as you want. Or as little. If you'd prefer to retire early, come back to the lodge and order up a relaxing massage. Our on-call therapist can iron out those tired muscles in no time.

Here we'll cater to your every need, on the water - and off. It will be the most memorable saltwater fishing experience of your life.
